A Republican politician running for President was driving down a country road in the heart of farm country, when he came upon a large gathering of people.
He stopped and thought this may be a good opportunity to do a little politicking. To get above the crowd all he could find to stand on was a large pile of horse manure.
So he climbed up and gave his speech. At the end of his speech he said that as far as he knew this was the first time a Republican gave a speech on a Democratic platform!
