Here is the easiest method for restoring the interior metal, vinyl, plastic, etc parts so that they come out looking like they did when the car was brand new. First sand everything (the metal parts), then any decent primer applied that can be sanded smooth. Then apply light textured paint (from Home Depot). I have all black interior, so I used light textured black paint. It goes on very easy. You can get a perfect color match from Herbs Parts (
https://www.herbsparts.com/). I got the black (purchased a dozen cans). After applying the light texture then go over everything with the Herbs product, it comes out looking and feeling exactly the way it was when brand new - absolutely zero glare. The top of the dash is difficult to paint with the windshield in place. I painted the dash when the glass was out of the car. The Herbs product can be painted on any product, from metal to vinyl to leather and so on. I painted the upper and lower pads with the same product. It does not wear off and won't crack or fade. I also painted all the plastic parts (A pillars and kick panels).
