I want to be sure this is installed right. The fork rod that attaches between the Z bar and the clutch fork has a slight bend. Does the bend angle toward the middle of the car? That's how I have it now. I cannot tell from the diagram in the service manual group 6 clutch section fig 9. By the way, that Service Manual is great!! Thanks

It pretty much only fits one way but I dont remember which but if you look at it on the Z-bar it will only lay flat for the clip in one direction.

Did find a picture and it look like the outside of the curve goes toward the outside of the car away from the engine.

Let me take a look Terry. I thought it would only go one way. The connecting rod from the Z bar to the clutch fork right.

After looking there is no bend in the rod from Z bar to your Throw out bearing fork. If the rod is bent, then it has gotten weak. I would replace it with a new one. A search on the subject on the net shows clear picture of the hook up. One picture is from b bodies only forum. Hope this helps.

You can see at the flat of the adjustment rod there is a little bend so it fits flat on the Z bar. This is true with my original and replacement part.

so Russ's is on the out side of the z-bar and 69beep is on the inside of z-bar and both are right ?

It must be that old age thing that I have also. I need a pair of glasses for working now day's or reading fine print. Hope you get it on the road soon Terry.

All I can tell you is I did a Charger and it was a little worn inside the hole so I welded and reshaped it.
Then the clutch peddle had a tendency to not want to return completely.
Almost but just not quite bumping "up" to the rubber stop.
A new one from Brewer's fixed it.
So it must be a pretty close tolerance hole.
That came out wrong...........
