Can you use a 92 dodge dakota starter on a 1969 plymouth RR with a 440 that has headers?

Yes. Take the cover off of the posts and remove the post extension. Very simple

any magnum engine starter yes gear reduction starter = high torque

440 source has a good one for $100. Part 123-1000. I have one. It's fine. Didn't have to take anything off.

Will that same starter work on a 68 RR with the 383 I presume? Anything has to be be better than wrestling with the full size one behind the headers. I will miss the classic Mopar whine however.

I had one hit a cheap set of Headman headers on a 63 Savoy with a 440. Might depend on brand of headers. I changed to stock manifolds.

mine hit the tti headers so did the cave man thing.i use to think it would hurt the engine until i watched the engine masters on hammering headers.
