When taking the June 69 car apart I tried to be fastidious with the hardware.
Reusing the the correct fasteners for posterity.
I notice that the fenders used two different manufacturers.
3 odd ones with SEMS.
The rest have some type of square inside a circle.
Wondering if perhaps St. Lewis was transitioning to a different manufacturer since my stash of hardware is from 70s cars all have a circle L type ..

Should be (12) .875" threaded paint cutter bolts with either a double circle EL or a T with an anchor above it threaded into weld nuts on the inner fender and (2) 1.12" thread paint cutters T with SEMS over it or L with a circle around it with 3 dashes around the circle for 68-69. The radiator support used some different ones but I'm running out of time. Size wise they are similar and might have got moved around over the years.

That's funny.
I'm running out of time too.
But in a literal sense.
Just trying to get the car back in one piece.
Or I would clean off the original brown bolt heads to better reveal the "square".
At this point perfect is the enemy of good.
Green from an A body for example.
Same bolts.
These brown examples are all from the fender to inner fender and top radiator support attach.
(Cowl hood and hinges too.)
All same size and length.
I see no "anchors" among ether the originals nor other bolts off of parted out cars.
This all seems to support the idea that there were several hardware suppliers back in the day.
I will say that the factory put one that was Screenshot_20230929_111529.jpgtoo long on the drivers cowl bracket puncturing the original cowl top.
I may have posted that before?

Got the fenders hung.
It looks like a car again

Here's a couple of A Bodies from the 70s that have never been apart.
Daily drivers that I rescued 25 years ago.
I've repainted both cars several times.
Left and right fender to rad support Y3 car..
As in the RR I'm guessing different people hung each side.
Different heads. Same location each side.

This A Body is a 73.
I kept painting it T7 until this year and decided to go MM1. Ignore the overspray. I do.
Never paid attention to the bolts before.
But check out the odd one.

Oh, where is Rani when you need her? She did an extensive thread about every single bolt, nut, and fastener on our beloved Mopars. Her mind does not work like ours, and the things she knows can fill books. I don’t thinks she’s a member here, but she is on A bodies.
