These stabilize the bottom of the vent window track apparently.
But I can't see why they have to be made like they are except to allow up and down variance of the track during instillation.
Doubt they are adjustable in any way.
Nut on the bottom simply tightens to a flat platform.
Why the long shaft with the hex top except turn it?

I'm in the reassembly process after repairing them. Spot welds broken on both.
And that rusty stud in the first picture was only on the passenger's side.
That's the real mystery.
