So if I follow what you are saying is you have to pull the head to get the bad lifter out. So if you had to pull the intake and have the valley pan quick bird has but still would have to pull the intake to get the lifter out. That would solve the problem rite. Have not been in side of the 383 yet and will find out. Russ.

You don't have to pull the head but you do have to remove the valley pan and if it was a two piece as suggested above you can remove the center section and have access to the lifters etc. I do think you can buy 2+ valley pans for the price of a two piece valley plate. I used the original and installed a 0.025" gasket on either side.

I agree but you still have to remove the air-cleaner/carb etc. With a larger push rob opening in the head you can you it all by just removing the valve cover

Having run all three, the Trick Flow is by far the most refined of the bunch. It will however raise your present compression ratio one full point. And it is critical that you check the valve guide clearance on the Trick Flow heads as I've found them to be too tight. I've had to hone the guides on every Trick Flow head I've had in the shop. They all need to be prepared by a good cylinder head shop before being used.
Anything IQ52 posts is gospel as far as I am concerned.
Good to see you on this forum my friend!
