Ellington Airport invites you to the 6th Annual Aeros & Autos event on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., to enjoy the best of both transportation worlds: airplanes and automobiles.

THE U.S. HALF MILE SHOOTOUT

Included at Aeros & Autos is Houston's premier speed event, the U.S. Half Mile Shootout. The event is open to all automobiles and motorcycles who have the need for speed. The Houston Half Mile event is located on one of Ellington's runways for a safe and legal space to see what your ride can do.

Pictures from Aeros & Autos

Here are a few pictures from the Houston Aeros and Autos. In the 1/2 mile the fastest car I witnessed was a Lambo doing 244MPH!! I also got to ride in a Huey Helicopter. That was a blast.

Basketcase(Dave) the 262 and the Huey were Collins planes. The P51, B25, F4 and TBM all belong to the Texas Flying Legends Museum. The Bi-Plane is not a Stearman, I forgot the designation, but it is part of the CAF. BeeKeeper, that is my RR. Sunday June 1, if the weather co-operates I will be in Waco at Quaker Steak & Lube for their show.

loved to have seen those fly. I've been in the Me 262 and P-51 at The Air Foce Museum, and they are a tight fit.
