As some of you guys know, I have a lot on my plate right now and after a lot of thought, I've decided to step down as administrator.

It's just time for me to focus on other things.

In the six years since the forum began, I've learned a lot and made some great friends. Unlike a lot of other forums, a lot of us have met in person and now the friendships are even stronger. It made all the effort worth it.

My hats off to Joey, who bought the forum from me a year ago and made a lot of very positive changes. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with him.

Thanks for all your support!

John

Sorry to hear that John. Thanks for all you've done a lot to keep this site going over the years giving us a place to talk about our favorite car. It was great seeing you at Carlisle this year and I hope to see you there in the future. Please don't be a stranger here, I always learn something new from your advice to the questions asked here.

Although I don't know many members personally, I can only assume that you've had a big part in why I like this site. Don't stray too far. - And I hope your new focus won't be on Chebbies! LOL.

p.s. Your avatar always cracked me up.

Big John, I can't say any more than what has already been stated, other than I hope you keep posting here. The amount of knowledge and wisdom you have, and are willing to share with us about our cars is amazing. Not to many people that I know of have the knowledge of how to prep for plasti-dip.

That's easy... Open up the can and dip the handles of the pliers in it. Learned how to do that years ago!

There's a cap you can put back on the can, but in my experience, once you break the sealed can, the dip will harden.

The best thing is to dip everything you need (or don't need) to dip.

I've used the dip to restore some underhood brackets and here's a big secret that most people already know.... You take an A Body glove box cable and dip it in plasti-dip and you have an A-12 hood clip cable! Just like teh factory.

Big John,

As the others have said Thank You for starting up the site for the 1969 Road Runners.

Enjoyed the friendship I have made here and all the ribbing I got from the guys with the non-Green Runners.

Sorry I missed you at Carlisle this year but, next year is another time.

The good ol' plastic dip and I have it in the rainbow colors and dip multi-colors.

Good Luck and again Many Thanks!!!!

After I had my valve covers powder coated I used the dip to recoat the wire retaining tabs, went back to use it a week later and it had hardened.

just thought of another use for that stuff for you old guys, but the smell of burning plastic probably would get annoying.

Wisdom and wit

Thanks Big John.
I have been on and read many forums and this one tops them all.
Just because you are not the admin; I hope you will still be on the forum as someone we can count on to impart your wisdom and wit.

I have been away for awhile just doing the life thing but occasionally swung over to see what was new. I have never enjoyed a site like this one and would also like to extend a big "beep-beep salute" to you, John. I am so glad and feel fortunate to have checked in to see this post. From my very first email to this site asking about a trunk lid some 4 states away that you offered to go peak at for me, I can't say enough thanks. I kind of think of you as my remote grandfather. It feels so like family here and I have only met one other member in person. Please check in often and throw us some of your "subtle big stick humor". On a side note, after a 20 year coffee break, last thursday night I welded in my first new part. It was the left inner fender! Thanks again for what you have done here! Enjoy your time!

you will always be for us a big man! I'm here more than four years since his first visit here,
the first time my English was horrible, now it is much better than before. I met a lot of good guys here,
I learned a lot of new and interesting material. I heard a lot of good, wise saying.

Thank you for making this wonderful site!:worship::worship::worship:

I am honored to be here!:flag:
