Well, if you listen to some of the jokers that come up and start yapping with you at Old Town and other venues like that you'll hear all kinds of goofy stories about what Chrysler did - and these guys knew all about it because they worked at some dealership or factory somewhere. Man, I've heard some goofy stuff. I just smile and nod and give them the "Oh, really?" reply once in a while. There is no correcting them because they are soooo clueless. And don't even get me started about some of the guys behind the parts counters at the local auto parts stores...

All clear. But this is our buddy Basketcase who, as we know, knows RRs. So either he was thinking of something else, answering a different question, or he just made a simple typo. In any case, I'm :acme: him as would be expected...

I think Dave might be talking about the Charger R/T and Coronet R/T with a butt stripe. If they were a stripe delete car, they would have the R/T emblem on the quarter panel. If they had the stripe they did not have it. He was compairing that to his buddies Road Runner being a stripe delete car with the Road Runner emblems. My car is not a stripe delete car, therefore it would not have the Road Runner emblems. That is the way I took his reply.
