Re: 69 charger 500 real XX vin car R-4 red Project
I seriously had a 70 Challenger that I sold for 15 grand, included a couple of grand in parts from a sweet parts car. So the main car in the deal would be about a 12K ride.
People hounded me to no end since the paint was rough. One guy stopped me leaving the house one day and offered 1200. Was kind of put off that I told him I had places to be. Like I had turned down some big money.
So I went in to pay for gas one day about a year later, woman asks if I live by such and such. Says "Oh yeah, you are that guy that wanted a bunch of money for that car." I said "Oh yeah, your hubby is the one that doesn;t know much about cars." Like I was trying to screw them when I didn't take a low offer on a car not for sale. :chuck:
So then within a year I sold it for the "big" money.

"why did you put regular headlights on the General Lee?"
"is that a Vega rear window jammed in the back?"
"That is cool. How about 1200 for it?"
"Nascar, I don't see a roll cage in it, you are stupid"
"Aero car? Did an Indian own it or something?"
