This has most probably been discussed many times before but what color carpet should a 1969 Road Runner with a 4 speed transmission have? Thank you

4-speed carpets are black. Color options were for automatics. Strange, huh?

Yea. Black. But I'm thinking blue carpet with my 4 speed. I hate black carpet. Especially since my car is H2C code. Blue carpet will be better with the white seats and door panels.

This seems to be a hot topic again on every forum at the moment. Clearly, not all 4 speed Road Runners have black carpet. There are many well documented cases out there proving otherwise.

As soon as you optioned an RM21 car up from the M2- interiors, this note appears to not apply. Any H2- or M6- interior will have the color keyed carpet. RM23 cars only came with these two interiors. The notes in the literature(s) are very confusing, but I believe this is what the intent was and appears to be supported by actual cars.

If you post your fender tag, it may shed some more light on the topic.

What color is your interior?
Mine has a blue interior so it has a dark blue carpet. 4 speed with console.
