No 440 factory convertibles... The odds of him not telling the truth are exponentially higher than the odds that car came out of St. Louis with a 440. Didn't happen... On a side note, you'll have a lot more fun with a 440 than you will a non-numbers 383, so roll with it.

The top is from Kee Tops in Florida. It's the correct crushed grain material. If you order through Year One, they'll drop ship a Kee Top. Dante's also is a dealer. Alex

I've already put 300 miles on her! The plan is to drive and enjoy it as much as I can while the weather holds up here in Michigan. I have a couple shows I want to do in September. In late October I need to send it back to my body guy to deal with some fit issues I'm not happy with. My decklid...

I finally got to bring her home late tonight. After several last minute issues were resolved, it's so nice to have it home. My final builder did a hell of a job dealing with the issues and getting it done. I'm very happy with the job he did. I did experience some transmission issues...

Believe it or not, I hit some MAJOR unexpected snags tonight... First off, my $1200 Glen Ray radiator had a small crack in the lower. It's leaking, and is getting fixed in the morning. I guess you don't get what you pay for these days... Then one of the Accurate Exhaust mufflers took a dive...

I get to bring my vert home tomorrow evening! I'm beyond excited...like a kid at Christmas. e

There are too many variables involved to determine whether or not it will drop the value. If you plan on selling it, why go through all that? If keeping it, I would say to paint it as you wish. Especially if keeping it for a long time.

Interior is done! I'll add some more pics this week. Official pick-up date is Thursday. Works well for me, as I have Friday-Monday off work. It's going to be a great weekend!
