Needed to come up with something to clear the tunnel ram on dual dominator's. Decided to go with a modified super shaker. I stretched the hood opening 3" longer, the base and bubble 3" also, the bubble 4-1/2" taller and opened up the nostrils 2-1/2" taller.
I do the opposite to eliminate too much rake. I have 315/60/15 drag radials on my Challenger (30" tall tire) and I run -1" under leaf springs and 1" lower blocks to keep it lower.
I didn't want the jacked up look on any of my cars. I have four different sets of 15"x8" rear wheels with 295/50/15 tires. Rallye's, Cragar's, Steelies and Road wheels/Magnum 500's (no pictures ). I like the wider look and no big rake with the stance.
I argue with all of my brand X buddies all the time. What are the first thing all you brand X guys do when building your race engines with aftermarket race parts? The same things Chrysler did from the Factory. Bigger bores, bigger stroke (stroker motors), bigger valves, longer valves, shaft...
Sinice I ran out of room in the garage the "racement" (basement) now has a racing theme going on down there with signs, banners and all my die casts cars on the shelves that my kids have always bought me for Father's day, Christmas and Birthdays.
I don't have much wall space. Most of my walls are covered with parts shelves, storage cabinets, tool boxes and equipment. I do have a few signs, pictures and a couple racing stickers. Lol.
Looking good. Built a new Dana 60 for my Challenger over the winter. Narrowed it, moved springs inboard, lightweight spool, 40 spline gun drilled axles. Still staying leaf spring. Caltracs and split mono leafs.
I had a custom aluminum rad made with a shroud and dual electric fans with -20 AN inlet and outlets for my Challenger. Had them try to keep the OEM look for my stock appearing but race car look (well, kind of stock).
