    68 Roadrunner restoration

Looking for some input though, I bought some flat black, and really wanted to do hood stripes. The original car didn't have stripes of course, and didn't even have the factory blacked out hood that was an option for '68. I have been a stickler for 'correctness' in the past, but wanted to do a...

WANTED '68 two speed wiper parts

I need most if not all the wiper parts including the motor if you have more than you need! Two speed, the motor I got with my runner doesn't have the right bolt pattern. Thanks, Jerry :sorrow:

    68 Roadrunner restoration

Got started on my '68 several weeks ago. Got one side done (outer wheelwells/rear quarter), and will start on the other side this weekend. Does anyone have an extra windshiel wiper motor and associated brackets? Got this car supposedly with all the parts, but the wiper motor doesn't fit the bolt...

    Obamacare

:drama:I just feel that ANYTIME the Government gets involved in anything, they screw it up. Look at Social Security for example. Was an OK system, until LBJ moved the lot of it to the general fund..... and spent it. UPS is a good example. USPS has been on the brink of going under for many years...

    One last carb question

Just got back from Rico, Co. Took a week off to fish for some browns and rainbows. What part of the mountains are you going to? As far the carb, a 650, 700 or 750 for the 383? Double pumper, mechanical secondaries? If you come up around Williams, give me a shout.

    One last carb question

Getting ready to order a carb and need some help from you carb gurus. I have a 383 HP 4 speed (68) and have decided to go with a holley, but live approx 7000ft in elevation. What carb would be best? I have the good stock heads (re-worked with new valves, springs and don't remember the cam, but...

    Zimmerman found not guilty

Doesn't Double Jeopardy apply? He was found innocent of all charges by a jury of his peers. That should be it, but of course it was the President's son wanna be, shoulda be thing. What about the two black boys that shot the white baby in the face? And thousands of other violent crimes supposedly...

What gauge wire should I be using?

10 guage stranded wire is barely large enough for 30 amps. In reality #6 wire is good for around 50 amps, granted how often would the alternator be charging at full capacity? Inadaquate wire size will limit the amount of current passing through it (and heat up), so this is most likely the...

Maybe a Moral or Ethical? Question???

Thanks guys, I kinda figured that the angle might be different, adding to alot more work. Just got my new fender skins and outer wheelwells in, and front lowers if I need to replace them. Probably won't get started for 2 months or so, but just wanted to get this out of my plans (or into). If I...

Maybe a Moral or Ethical? Question???

I'm sure I'm going to open up something here. I have always believed in restoring things correctly, and accurately. I am thinking about converting the rear appearance of my 68 to the look of a 69 (don't laugh). I know the rear bumpers are different, but really like the look of the 69 (who...

    Haunting Yard Finds

Something that still haunts me to this day. In 1982 I was working in a small town not far from my home town in Texas and saw a car in a front yard with a for sale sign in it. It was a Plymouth Superbird! It was the bright red color (don't remember the correct shade), 440 super commando, and...

    440 vs 383

Was going to do a seperate post on this today anyway, but the early 68 RR I have is a one owner car (purchased it from the original owner). I got the original engine and two other 383 HP engines with the car as well. I have searched all three engines extensively and know where the vin should be...

    Engine with 4-speed install

Yep, those equalizers are the real deal. I installed a 289/C4 in the 67 Mustang I did for my wife, by myself, in less than an hour. Can't wait to used it again on my 68 383HP/4SP RR!! Figure I might have to remove the radiator support first, but no big deal. :beep: :beep: :beep:
