I have 426-1 Indy heads so I am not sure that the Stage V intake would work. I can't remember if you can just bolt up Holleys to an intake that has Edelbrock carbs on it. Do you guys know?
I have to say I am intimidated by Holleys as I never seemed to understand them well enough to tune...
I bought a starter from RobbMc initially when putting the hemi together but the tti headers wouldn't quite bolt up during mock-up. When I called they seemed surprised as this was the starter that was supposed to fit by several accounts. I then bought a Denso starter from Mancini. It fit well...
I thought I would see if any of you guys with more carb tuning experience had any ideas about this issue. My 526 ci hemi has a stumble when I step on it from light cruise. I have twin Edlebrock 750's (1406) on it. The accelerator pump linkage was set in the middle hole. I set both linkages...
I just replaced my steering box as well as a number of other suspension parts; shocks, t-bars and upper A-arms. The reason I replaced the box was the sloppy feel in the steering, I could move the wheel a quarter turn either direction without moving the tires and I hated that. Well the car...
Chris,
I have a hydraulic roller cam in my hemi with a bronze distributor gear and a bronze tipped fuel pump rod. How often should I look at those for wear and is the wear obvious? I have seen some pictures of distributor gears in the past that were pretty subtle in terms of wear. I have...
Wow George,
You really hit the jackpot. It looks like different things going on at the same time. That is impressive spring pressure you are running, I am surprised a hydraulic lifter could take that. I don't have a high opinion of Comp though my personal experience is limited but I would...
I just looked at the directions on-line for the Carter pump. It says pretty clearly to put the filter between the tank and pump. I guess that is the way to do it. Still seems backwards to me but what do I know.
I would be careful and not use a 10 micron filter or something like it since you...
I am using a Carter P74029 and it works very well. Not noisy but you can hear it if engine is off. It is set at 7 psi so a regulator is not needed. I wired it to a toggle switch with a 10 amp fuse in line. I still have my mechanical pump on the engine and a vapor separator. I don't think...
Nice cars. I didn't realize the Boss had so much more, I thought it was mostly a different intake and some suspension tuning.
I have had the Cobra at the strip but it has been a long time ago. It's a long story. I never made enough runs to do well, my best was mid 12's and it is for sure an...
Dutch,
I've got 3.23's in my hemi and it has plenty of grunt at low speed. What I don't have is gas mileage. I only turn about 2400 at 55 mph and still only get about 100 miles out of a tank of gas. Of course gas mileage was never a consideration in my choice of engine. :D :D
I have been...
Good advice Ray. Actually I spent too much time on the Mustang forum today and from what I could tell the other favored shifter is the MGW. It looks really good. Here are a couple of links.

I had intentions all week of taking my hemi road runner to the strip today just to see how it would do despite the 3.23:1 rear gears. However this morning I realized I didn't have a catch can on the car and there was no way they will let you run without one. So I took my 2011 5.0 Mustang GT...
Does anyone know where one can buy vent cables other than Year One? Year One gets $60 for each one which is expensive and they don't seem to last long. I had to replace the passenger side a few years ago and now the drivers side is shot. It's the same problem, the cable housing pulls away...
