I have two markings on 440 rods that came out of an untouched RV engine. 4 have 1851535 and MS3049 and DF51 and B. The other 4 have 1851535 and MS3049 and DF51 and LY. What, if any is the difference??
I ordered a Stainless Steel front disc brake kit and they told me on the phone it would be about 4 weeks. They didn't wait 4 weeks to grab my money. Everything is jacked and prices are way up.
Lucky me. Before I retired I was in a communications shop and we had a cable shop across the way. I was able to get the correct color and gauge wires and most of the connectors to rebuild mind where needed. You are correct about 52 year old wiring MoparDan. The resistance increases over time...
Get one from these guys. Saved my butt many times. If you mean the one with the blue crimper on it might go to the wiper motor. Not 100% sure though. Is it hooked up to something? I will try to get a whole picture and send it.

You got to love Southern California. Where else can you have a Christmas Car Show in December. What's even better is winning Best In Show. There were 64 cars there too.
It's an RV motor that had low miles. Should be able to get away with a 30 over stock. My machinist said it looked great but had a little lip and would probably need bored. He said it's common because the RV pistons are so far in the hole. Will let you know.
I will be using a steel crank and some Ross flat tops. Edelbrock performer RPM with 800 Holley and the 906 heads. I'm probably going with a hydraulic 509 cam and stock HP exhaust manifolds. What size cam did you use and what exhaust?
I watched that episode of Nick's Garage. He compared HP manifolds, Max Wedge manifolds and Hooker Headers. The headers were #1, Max Wedge #2 and the HPs were last. Headers and max wedge were close like 5 horses but the HPs lost 50. I might have to rethink my plan. Another thing is my headers are...
