I've heard of mice crawling up the exhaust all the way to the exhaust valve, build a nest and ruin the cylinder. Rodent piss will rust metal very quickly.

Parts are not what they used to be. If you are a fan of Uncle Tony's Garage you have seen his videos about bad out of box, cheep Chinese junk.

    Alternator wiring question

12.84 is a little low. Should be about a volt higher. What is it if you turn on the headlights and fan? Rev it up, does the voltage go up? Stay the same? Actually go down?

You've got the cars, the hard part is over. Make a plan and enjoy watching it progress. Take lots of pictures, measure everything. Mine did not have an interior I drove it on the trailer sitting on a milk crate. The same one in the 1st picture.

Yeah that is an 8 and 3/4 now some 69s didn't have the VIN stamped on the transmission so it doesn't mean anything if you don't find it

The Greek Roadrunner is finally here!

All 4 speed Roadrunners are Sure Grip. The only thing you can identify from looking at the rear end is if it is a Dana 60 or an 8 3/4. But there may be the tag still attached to one of the bolts that tells you the ratio. There also was a tag at the fill hole that said "Sure Grip" I believe it...

Axle and Differential Disassembly (69 RR convertible)

Dennis, Setting up a rear end is a very precise procedure. You have got to get the pinion depth and preload correct. I've been working on cars since 1966 and I still get nervous setting up a rear end. If you're determined to do it yourself you may want to get the service manual and find some...
