For what little it's worth, I tried that when I could hear fuel percolating after shut down. It didn't help. Temps where running from 200° on the highway to 230° in traffic, but never had it vapor lock. Changing the thermostat from a 190° to a 180° and adding a shroud put an end to all that.
Not sure what you are working on Mo, but on my '69 Road Runner, key on, with the wipers in the park position, the washer button does not energize the wiper motor. In fact, the pump does not energize either with the wipers in the park position.

I think you are misunderstanding. I did not put the radio in the glove box, just the wire with a mini plug on it so I could plug in my Ipod. I have enough cord on it that I can leave the Ipod in the glove box or put it on the console or even the front seat.

I have the factory AM/8 Track radio and had a guy from FBBO wire a plug to it and I ran it into the glove box. Now I can plug in my Ipod and play my music through the radio. It sounds great (when I can hear it over the pipes).
If that 3M black super weatherstrip adhesive is the same stuff I used, remember, it is like contact cement. It holds really well, but you only get one shot at it.
I bought my Road Runner just NE of Detroit and drove it home to NW of Chicago (375 miles). Car drove fine and even tracked straight as an arrow at 70 MPH with hands off. Got it home and found the idler arm as loose a a 70 year old whore. I'm still amazed.
