Yes, there are front and rear brackets that weld to the floor. Kind of hard to come by. There was somebody making reproduction ones at one point but don’t know if they’re still around?
I had the same issue with my original Mopar part number PCV grommet and metal PCV. It was in there solid as a rock, would not budge. Simple solution... Heat it up with a heat gun. The old rubber softens up and the valve comes right out. Hey! It worked for me.
:thumbsup2:
Numbers matching engine... If you're doing a mostly stock type rebuild with stock exhaust manifolds, a very good choice, if not the best choice in my opinion is the Bob Karakashian Mr.6Pack camshaft. This is what's going into my numbers matching 383. Hopefully I'll be able to post a video clip...
I guess this whole experience is a sign loud and clear. This car is mine to keep. I'm taking the car off the market. Marking it as sold so this sorry thread can be put to rest... the end... for now... :D
Dan, thanks for the interest. The available NOS/OEM and Vintage Race Parts parts shown in my YouTube video are first dibs to the buyer of the car. After that, it's first come first serve. I did have a guy contact me who said he'd buy my whole "lot" of parts so that would certainly be preferable...
I'll have look into Hemmings. Last night I was looking at AutoTrader Classics and considering it as an option too.
So here is the latest about my ongoing eBay saga... At nearly 48-hours after the listing end this past Monday, the guy finally messaged me and apologized for taking so long getting...
No really! I can’t make this stuff up! Looking like I’m getting stiffed a second time on eBay. What a joke! Guess I’ll be keeping the car as people love bidding on it but don’t want to pay for it. Just phenomenal!!!
Thanks Russ.
My experience with eBay listings; what I've learned so far is that for $25 dollars you can get a 7-day auction with twelve pictures and no reserve price. However, the reality is, the reserve price is still there when the seller prematurely ends the listing when their desired price...
Yes. Tried that. The "Second Chance Offer" to the second and third place bidders. The second place guy is apparently a ghost as well. No response. The third place guy actually opened up some communication with me but we were unable to really secure anything. So... I tried Craigslist and that...
I believe, initially, the guy fully intended to buy the car but then simply got cold feet. He lives in a 2.1 Million dollar ocean side bungalow in Los Angeles. To walk away from a $500 dollar deposit after realizing the full weight of his responsibility was probably not a big deal for him. The...
Right! The guy made a $15,100.00 impulse bid two hours before a 10-day listening ended. He promptly paid his $500 deposit within 5-min of winning the bid. I had a phone conversation with him and many multiple text messages making arrangements to have the money wired to my bank account and car...
Update: The car has been listed on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Plymouth-Road-Runner/124073270135?hash=item1ce357db77%3Ag%3AkiQAAOSwUeVeORYQ&LH_ItemCondition=3000%7C1000%7C2500
