I've got some rot on the frame of my rear seat back. It runs along the entire bottom and a little ways up each side. I need to cut it out and weld in a new piece of steel. I've got time though. My seat covers won't be ready until March 2023. Legendary Auto has a lead time of 284 days.
I have a 69 Runner that came with Magnums. The rims are chrome, but the spokes appear to be painted silver. I thought that when I cleaned them up they would be chrome as well. Did Chrysler really make a chrome wheel and paint the spoke area silver? Makes no sense to me. Was that a thing?
I had already removed my buckets, so I had to sit down with my back against the steering wheel and my feet against the back seat and push forward and up and it unlatched. As you can see the broadcast sheet wasn't in as good of shape as I had thought. But still pretty cool. I found a lot of...
Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I will give that a shot. It was a really hot day when I was doing it and I was sweating up a storm. I don't think I had it in me anymore at that point. I'll give it another go this weekend.
I had a hard time pulling my back seat out. Passenger side unhooked easily, but driver side not so much. I decided to get my endoscope and see if could find the problem. While moving the endoscope around under the seat I saw the build sheet between the padding and seat springs. It's been there...
Thanks for posting and welcome. I hope that scammer gets what's coming to him. I know it's not a Chevy site, but there are a lot of great folks here. Hope you check in every once in a while. I'm a big fan of Chevy's. My first car was a 72 Chevelle. Always wanted a Runner, so I bought one. I just...
Hey Dan, just saw this. Been working on it a little here and there. Work has been crazy and has me a little burned out. Took the driver bucket out and found a little rust. The rust is starting to scale a little. Won't know how bad it is until I gut the rest of the interior. The interior is moldy...
The service manual for 1969 says to remove allen screw on shift knob then to unscrew button, spring and knob assembly from cable end and remove from lever. This can't be difficult to do, but mine just spins and doesn't come off the shift lever. Is there some trick to this that I'm over looking?
Yeah the problem is that I really don't have the room in my garage for one. I bought the one I currently have because it had wheels. My basement isn't a walkout so I have to pull it up the stairs. :( I haven't seen any larger ones that are mobile but even if there were some, they would be to...
