That's exactly what I'm doing. Thanks for the input.

    Dash trim paint

New questions. I think I'll have to replace the two pieces of trim on the right side, around the radio & above the glove box. They are very brittle, cracked & even broken. I was very careful removing them too. First question, who, if anyone, makes these pieces? Second question. Do I have to...

    Dash trim paint

That looks excellent. I found out how I remove the right side trim. I plan on Satin black or Semi-gloss spray paint & I do have those same Moltow chrome paint pens to do the borders of the trim & the small letters that are molded into the gauge face for lights, wipers etc. Thanks for the help.

    Dash trim paint

Also, I'm not sure how the trim piece above the glove box is removed. (I know, the bird is not supposed to be there, it will be removed) Is it glued on? (doubtful) Are there fasteners hidden somewhere? Do I need to remove the glove box liner to access the fasteners? The other pieces appear to be...

    Dash trim paint

I am about to paint the black dash trim (A good friend's car) that goes around the gauge bezels & across the dash to the passenger side on a 70 w/ Rallye Dash. What shade of black should I use, flat black, satin black etc. It is not a concourse restoration by any means but, it IS a really nice...

    Speedometer faceplate/trim piece

Can you put up a picture of what you're needing to chrome? If it's a thin area around the gauges & bezel, a chrome pen might do a decent job for you. MOLOTOW makes them in different widths. I use them on some models with very good results. Just my 2 cents.

    I wish I'd kept it!

I have to say, there's something I really like about a car that looks like it had seen better days but embarrasses a lot of folks at stoplight drags! I've seen pictures of your car here before & I like what I see.

    I wish I'd kept it!

Yes, the guy I bought it from knew what he was doing. I was impressed with some of the little, time-consuming things he did that most people didn't spend their time doing. All the right combination of parts, not too radical, but pretty quick & you could drive it all day with no problems. He...

    I wish I'd kept it!

Yes, I think I got a hell of a good deal. The car was easily worth 10 grand. It was a very solid car too.

    I wish I'd kept it!

Pretty much but, it had the deluxe (Burnt Orange) interior. The seats were upholstered wrong when I bought it but whoever did it, did a pretty nice job & held up well over all these years.

    I wish I'd kept it!

I bought this from the son of the original owner, who drove this car everywhere. He gave it to his son who hopped-up the engine & trans. (383-4 speed car) & did a damn good job. I was a mechanic for a long time so I can spot nice work right away. I bought the car from him in 2011 for 8 grand...

SOLD Original 1970 440 Air Grabber filter base

I have this piece from a 70 440-4 GTX & no longer want to keep it. It's an original base in near perfect shape (has 1 small ding in lip, can be seen in 3rd pic, easily fixed) just needs to be glass beaded & painted to be a very nice piece. I figure someone might be needing it more than me...
