I went to the Walter P. today. It was pretty good. I'm lucky to live 30 miles from it. Southeast Michigan is a great Mopar place to live with Mancini's, Roseville Moparts, and Inline Tube nearby. That may be about the only benefit to living here.
I personally picked up some odds and ends that I could get on ebay or online for the same price, but I like to get things from local vendors when I can to support the local guys.
I purchased a cluster with a good lens on it from Dr. Mopar's dad at a great price. I planned on using that lens on my original cluster, and purchasing one of the few remaining chrome bezels from Mr. G's for $100.
While talking to a guy that restores steering columns locally, I noticed a really nicely restored cluster ready to go. He wanted $275, I offered $225, he took it.
By the time I restore the clusters I have by purchasing a bezel for $100 to $200, and cleaning up the lens and cluster, I would have at least $225 in it, with a lot of extra cleaning and work. I feel I did pretty good on it. Check it out...
Car should be home soon. I'm excited to start stock-piling parts again soon after I get that tax return check from Uncle Sam.
