I know most of you have seen some that look pretty bad. Just wonder what some of you have done other than buying reproduction one. Is it better to have them chromed by someone. Do you come out cheaper that way or about the same cost of new one's. Yes got one set out and looked at it in dismay at how bad they are. Any idea's would be grate. Russ.

I have looked for the instructions you had in a forum 69hemibeep. How to work on these vent widow frame's don't seem to see them. Just wanted to know was it better to buy the new replacement parts or go through the chrome process. Any one that have done this would love to here what you decided to do. Russ. :thumbsup2:

AZ Desert,
I would first take them for an estimate for chrome and polishing the stainless part before separating them. I think I have all of the pictures

Say Ernie. The cost of doing all this is getting pretty deep. We do our best but some times thing's are what they are. Don't know if I want to bite on the price for Reproduced part's. One more thing to think about. Thanks for you comment. Russ.

Yes cleaned up the Stainless steel part. But the rest of the chrome is pitted really bad. Wish some one would have taken better care of the car before I got it. :thumbsup2:

After not sleeping worth a darn for a few day's. Looking at those vent window frames made me sick to put those on the car. So I popped for a set. Will have to do the back seat another time and some other thing's. Did not want to put the door's together and have to take them apart latter to do this.

Yep trying to make the bird look it’s best and not brake the bank is a recipe for sleepless nights. I am down to interior and was shocked when I added up my needs list. Very hard to decide what can afford now and what can wait. Like you thinking repop better than dealing with rechrome”bag of worms”.
Stay safe Im in Cocoa Fl where you?

Only thing I have seen is on TV at Count's Custom's. Other than that on U Tube. I called about a small kit from Angle Guiding. $400 bucks for a small kit. Heard that it blues in color so one guy said. You have to spray the silver with a clear with blue die added. To give it that chrome look. I was going to go their and do it my self but have decided to buy chromed parts and have thing's chromed. That is what the deal is for me for now.
