I am working on a 69 Roadrunner (with a 440)...the vacuum advance is shot and needs to be replaced and the only information I have is from the inside C15 and 6.5 (maybe 0.5) on the arm. Anyone have any idea where I can find a vacuum advance that will fit. Also, I am new to MOPAR and hove no idea where on the 440 block to look for a casting number to see what year the motor is from in case I need to buy a whole new distributor, etc...could someone please tell me where the casting number of the motor is normally located?

You can buy just the advance part of the distributor, try rockauto or napa or ebay. most all vacuum advance units are generic.

yeah don't count out the loacal auto parts store for that stuff. My CarQuest guy usually can get any mechanical stuff for me.

I got mine at NAPA,then using my old Sears advance timing light I adjusted it using the allen wrench to get my best advance.
