transmission issue

Buddy looking at 72 sb challenger auto that pumps fluid out the
tranny dip stick when warmed up. If possible what are some possible
causes if you don't mind. Thanks in advance.

Level too high???

Did they check the level when the trans was hot and in neutral??

My gut feeling says it is something more than that. The car isn't getting driven.

Another thing it could be is, the vent hole is plugged up. Unfortunately you have to pull the tranny to get at it. It is located behind the torque converter on the top of the tranny pump.

isit comming out the top of the tube or at the base? IIRC there is an o ring where the tube goes into the case.
