That's awesome! How did it do? Did it break ok, or did it push you around a bit when stopping.

If mine can make it all the way from Texas to Florida there is no reason you can't make a six hour jaunt and back... :D

It actually drove and stopped quite well. But it was only 72 degrees today with another month to warm up before the show and a big climb out of Indio Ca. in both directions to contend with it could get dicey. I did pull a steep short hill to the north of me and if the truck stays cool it should pull just fine.

Bob, you need another 2" drop in the height of your hitch. That should level out you truck. One of these should do the trick.

Actually the truck and trlr set level unloaded with my 5" drop hitch, if I back the car up 1-2 inches the truck comes up. I had a little too much tongue weight on it.

Your truck should do fine. My old truck made it from the four corners area of Colorado to Florida with my Runner riding a trailer. Actually got better gas mileage up around the continual divide than I did on the rest of the trip.

I hauled mine back from north of Detroit 7 hours home with my '86 Power Wagon without any trouble.
