Steering wheel spokes

Hey Guys, received my new wood steering wheel from YearOne today. The chrome spokes are way to shiny. Any one had experience with dulling them down. I was thinking wire brush.

I would think that a Scotch Brite pad would work also. Nice looking wheel.
