so someone wants to buy my Roadrunner

i have been considering selling my 69 Roadrunner for the past few years. Recently a neighbor came buy and is offering to buy it for $5000. Really don't know if this is a good price or not.
Here are the particulars. I am second owner having purchased it in 1970. Have pink and it is non-op here in Calif. 69K miles. 383, 4speed, bench seat. Replaced carb, intake manifold, ignition and has headers. Badly needs restoration. Interior is toast. Was rear-ended in '88, drove it out to desert property where it has set since then. Started it up about 10yrs ago. needs clutch and brakes.
Would like a ballpark figure on what its worth.

With what I am seeing that sounds like a fair price. He will drop close to 20k in a restoration if it is done rite on top of what he pay's for it. I assume it is number's matching and has fender tag. That Trunk lid is a hard thing to find now day's. You pay dearly for one of them in good shape. It has been sitting around for a long time and the motor will need to be gone through. So it is up to you and what make's you happy. The junk yard would not give you that for it.

Its hard to say what its worth with out all the details, #s matching, original color, trans, and engine , vinyl top color, wheel package, frame rail condition, trunk floor damage, drivers side quarter is trashed. Lots of money goes in these things when you start restoring. Bottom line is what its worth to you, sounds like you've had the car for a long time. You may have some sentimental value there also so its hard to say what its worth. I would keep it myself, just saying LOL

Take the money and don’t look back. You have had it for over 30 years in this condition and haven’t done anything with it yet, chances are you never will. :2cents:

It’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay. You mentioned replacing the carb, intake manifold and a couple other items. But that was at least 10 years ago and it’s been sitting. Sell it and move on. If you don’t, it’ll probably be sitting in the same spot another 10 years from now.

Thanks for the replies. No I'll probably never restore it. just don't have the cash. At this point in my life time to get rid of lots of stuff.
My kids would probably just call a junk dealer.

That’s good money for the condition of your roadrunner. As stated before that’s a 50K restoration cost.

Dont's know the condition of your heart Russ, but if you'd like to keep it thatway, maybe you shouldnt add up all the receipts.
