SEASON'S GREETINGS

T'was the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
tired of political clap-trap

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

'On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as they flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note—
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!

Very good George!
I can't understand why our leaders are so bent on squashing the middle class.
The very poor will never contribute ANYTHING to the good of our country.
I'm not saying they shouldn't be taken care of. What I am saying is why do we have to make them our equal when we've worked darn hard for everything we have.
I better quit. This reply could go on forever. Anyone been following what they have in store for us small buisness's?
I'd like to retire. Who in their right mind would buy my contracting buisness? I could try selling asset's but with the economy as it is I'd be giving them away.
This is turning from the American Dream to the American Nightmare!
I have allways voted, but thats not enough anymore.
Not my quote, but , "All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good men to remain silent"
Mark Twain, "If you don't read the paper ,you are uninformed. If you do ,your misinformed"
I don't believe I have to say this, but be very scared where our country is heading.
If I can retain some goodness in me, I won't have to worry about sharing eternity with any polititions!
Merry voting to all. And to all a guiding light!

Very well stated, Fran, very well stated. I think that it will only continue to get worse because so many of Generations X, Y, & Z are all about self-entitlement and think that THEY ARE OWED SOMETHING... so they will contine to support and elect these a$$hats that want to redistribute the so called wealth... After going back to court this past Wednesday and having my child support payments increased X 2.5 I can tell you that I can't afford any more redistribution, tax-related or otherwise, if I am going to keep my family squarely planted on middleclass soil...

Thanks for the kind replies, George and Ray
Ray, you mention generation X,Y & Z. They not only want what we have accomplished, most of them don't want to work for it. They want to be handed the rewards of years of hard work at no risk and no cost to them. We all know that mentallity will eventually fail.
I see this some what in my own kids and definitlly in some of my employee's.
I keep pounding into my kids that if they work hard and stick with it, everything will get better, then they will get over that hump, then they will have it made. How long, they ask, will all this take,"The rest of your lives!!"
Ray, I couldn't imagine paying 2.5X more for anything.
My friends, we are no longer on middle class soil. I feel we're on quicksand!!!!
Please get out and VOTE!!!!!!!!!
