rear seat belt retainers in a convertible?

Specifically in a 69 B body convertible, in our case, my Dad's GTX vert. Did the convertible cars come with the plastic "male" buckle retainers that were attached to the bottom part of the seat frame? Our GTX has the ones on the front bucket seats but nothing in the back. The covers were replaced so I am wondering if they might have not been replaced although, I could not find any holes in the frame work to support where the retainers might have been mounted. Is ours missing or were they never put in convertible cars for the rear seat?

AZ Desert,
My hardtop has them I would think they all did to keep the belts from piling up on the seat

I also have them in my charger which is a hard top. However, there are also holes in the seat frame where I was able to locate the holders after I recovered my seats. I would imagine that the seat frame would have the holes either stamped or drilled into the frame work to screw the holders in place.

Never saw an original car without them. Had them in all the B-bodies I had.

IMHO, even if for some reason the vert didn't have them, I'd put them in to make the seat belts look good laying there.

I need to find some for the Deluxe belts in my 300. The buckle is smaller than the B-body, like the E-body. They don't seem to repop them.

John,

That is the debate I am having with myself with knowing that my 69 Charger (hard top) had the rear seat belt holders yet our 70 challenger vert did not have them. Granted, the e body is a different body style but why would they not have them in a convertible but for a hard top? Again, I am trying to make the car as correct as possible so if they should not be there, I would not want to add them.

Big, does color matter? I can see if the Newport my Uncle has still has the rear belt holders, but they would be green(of course)

I had to know... I looked in the 69 parts manual and in section 1-67-16, it shows the storage clip. It doesn't call out sedan or hardtop only, or "no conv" as it does with other parts.

I'd say, based on that, the convertible had the clips. Jay has a pretty unmolested vert. Perhaps he can answer the question. Jaysbird or something like that.

where would they have been located on the rear seat? I can not find them or any evidence of them being mounted there.
