Going to replace the quarters on my 68. Original owner cut out the wheelwells a little to run wrinkle tires and I don't see the possibility of fabricating to fix the problem (unless some of you guys have had sucess doing it). It's a real shame, for the car is rust free basically. Who has the best prices on skins? I've seen some cheaper on ebay, but not the best seller reviews. Living in Az causes me to be concerned with shipping cost also, so I don't really want to pay an arm and a leg getting something from the east coast. Outer wheelwells will need replaced too. Fixed the trunk/inner wheelwells where he chopped a piece out there too and shouldn't be too noticeable. Shame too cuz it's a number matching 4 speed car. Sure appreciate help in saving some cash if you have any good leads! Also, will need to replace all the brake lines, cables and the list goes on and on. Thanks again. Jerry :nopity: :jail:

I would go with full AMD quarters.
There are a few guys on Moparts.com that are AMD dealers and offer discounts on their products.
I personally bought most of my metal from a company on ebay called "A Deals". Call them and talk to them, don't buy it online.
They usually will cut you a break, and you can ask questions, and ensure your order is accurate.

Here is their ebay link...
http://stores.ebay.com/ADEALS-Top-Quality-Fast-Service

Call them at:
240-229-9529

I went with Inline Tube for all my lines...

If it were me, I would do one of two things. I would either replace the whole quarter panel with one from AMD or I would look at replacing just the sheet metal around the wheel well with a piece from a decent skin. I'll bet replacing the whole quarter will be cheaper (and better) in the long run.

Replacement panels really vary in quality and you get what you pay for. Buy something good from a known source and don't look back.

If you decide on full quarters AMD is the way to go. Stevens usually shows up at the MATS in Vegas. I got mine from them and brought them home no shipping. I would contact them work out a deal and have them bring everything you need and enjoy a day at the show and races. Your only a couple hours away

I got my skins from Year One when I got the car in '07. My body guy buddy is real happy with the fit and metal thickness. But year One usually has high shipping. I got my trunk extensions from AMD thru Jeff at 521 Restortaions. He's a great guy, gives really good discounts. saved me a bunch.
If you want to just patch your 1/4s, maybe you can use parts of my old ones. just need a box of rivets.......

I do keep a good variety of rivots, but leave vehicles to my wire feed! Lots of good info, and 521 pricing looks better. Anyone got a lead on wiring harnesses?

Year One. Their prices generally suck but they have the best harness.

Ray's correct on the above but,if not in a hurry wait till year one puts out a 25/30% discount.

That's how I bought all my harnesses front to back

I had bad luck with that evans guys harnesses and after the first one falling apart from not being crimped correct I sold all the rest and told the buyer about needed tobe soldered at the crimps and hes not much cheaper then the good ones and they are plug and play. :cents:

I replaced both quarters on mine. I brought one home from Carlisle, and one home from the Nat's that year. I'll second Jeff at 521 Restorations. Absolute great guy. I bought pretty much everything else I needed from him, which was a lot!! Go AMD as well on the brand.

just to add another thing that's great about Jeff, he is lightning fast with responses. you wait days for some guys to get back to you, Jeff is usually a matter of hours.
