Starting to come together, almost looks like a car!! New floor pans, trunk pan, rear frame rails, leaf spring perches and outer wheel housings.

It sure is. We ordered all the harnesses from Year One today and decided to replace the rear filler panel I think it's called? Between the trunk lid and the back window. Looks messy underneath, so gonna weld a new one it.

Found a great steering wheel and beep beep horn on Ebay today as wel. And my trunk lid arrived from Phoenix today to Ft. Lauderdale via Greyhound so gonna pick it up Sunday.

Hahaha. I'm sure it's fine. I'll let you know when I pick it up. Thanks again for the lid. Are we square on the S&H charges?

Thanks,

John

Well, body guy just emailed me. Not only do we need the Dutchman Panel, but we also are going to replace the tail light panel, he said for $200 it will be better to replace than fix the one I have.

Picking up deck lid today at Greyhound.

Thanks guys,

John

Is he patching the rear frame rails? Using the safe-t-cap from auto rust technicians?

Moparchris, we got new rear frame rails, don't know where he got them from. Just cut them off and welded new ones in. What is saf-t-cap?

Thanks,

John

Your guy did it the right way. Most of the Safe-t-cap stuff I have seen slips over the rusted part and gets welded in.

Oh, I see. I remember him saying it would be better to get the actual rails. They were pretty far gone, so decided to replace them. At this point, I'm so far into it, I'm just replacing whatever it needs. Just have to postpone retirement for about 30 years. LOL.

Would it be cheaper to build a new one than to pay for one that needs rebuilt. I think they make most of the metal to do it now  Oh and send me the rest of your retirement money and I can make it disappear like a magician :jester:
