My 25 year old daughter out of the blue asked me the other day if I would like to spend some "Daddy - Daughter" time together.

I told her, "Sure, what would you like to do?"

"Can you teach me to drive the 4-speed?" she asked.

I was caught off guard because she really hasnt been much into the old cars.

So off we went last Sunday in the convertible Runner over to the big Boeing parking lot.
A few stalls and a few scares later she was getting pretty good at it.
Then I told her, "Go ahead and put your foot into it once you straighten out after this corner and get going into the long straight."
The smile on her face when we came back to a stop was priceless!

Then I asked her, "Why the sudden interest in driving the Vert-Bird?"
She then told me her new boyfriend was really intersted in muscle cars and she wanted to maybe someday go over and pick him up in the vert.
I asked her, "Isn't he going to feel a little funny with me sitting in the back seat?"

Anyways, it was some of the best fun we have had together since she was 9 years old and we went to Disneyland together.

saw that coming :lmao: but good time with the daughter  I doubt that will happen with mine. the fact that it's a 4 speed, manual steering, brakes, windows(a pure manly car) the oldest won't touch it( and with hr driving record that's fine). not so sure on the youngest daughter. she likes the passenger seat fine for now.
