Re: Jetting STR 14-6 6BBL on 528

Wow have not heard someone running that in a while. Back in the 70's I ran one on a stock 440
and a friend of mine had one on a 512. We did the mods to the intake with dams and stuff.
Cant remember all have to look at the book. But we ran 3 500 2bbls with acc pumps. Don't
remember the jetting either but they were nice and got alot of attention. We ran them on the
street. Basically its a laid down tunnel ram.

Thanks for looking in your book 69.

A friend of mine has a STR 15-8 on his 451 wich is in a 68 coronet Dick Landy clone.

The runners of a tunnelram are longer but they do not have the problem of the large plemium.
This manifold has problems with low mixture velocity.
I hope to solve the detonation @ W.O.T. so the first run on dyno will not be nothing.
1/2 a day on dyno sound long but goes very fast.
Will keep you updated about numbers.

these guys should be checking the air/fuel mix while doing the dyno pulls and will shut it down if lean or fat ....then they will correct the problem for the next pull

Re: Jetting STR 14-6 6BBL on 528

Finished the decals on RR yesterday .

Decals and Dyno (3).JPG[/attachment:36hmor2v]

Put car on dyno this morning.
Decals and Dyno (8).JPG[/attachment:36hmor2v]

It took me some courage to put engine untill 6000 rpm.
Result : 527hp(crank)@5819 and 774nm@3851.

It took 7 runs to solve some problems and 5 gallons of fuel.
