So as my car is back at body and paint (again), I needed something to keep me occupied.
I wanted a Harley Street Glide, but they're just too much money while I'm in the middle of restoring my RR vert.
I saw this little shit getter on Craigslist for cheap, and bought it to tool around on until I get my vert up and running.
I've been riding dirt bikes and road bikes for a while, and this is by far the funnest thing I've even climbed aboard (unless you count a few girls from my past).
Not a crotch rocket guy, and some people think it is a rocket. It actually falls under the naked sport bike genre, similar to a Buell or a Triumph. It rides a lot like a dirt bike...a really really really fast and heavy dirt bike.
It's a 2007 Kawasaki z1000. Only 10k miles, paid less than $4k for it. Having a lot of fun on it. May even keep it after the RR is done based my experiences so far. Like anything, you have to keep an eye out for idiots on the road, especially with all this texting and internet surfing people do on the road these days.
