Newbie here, we are rebuilding a 69 Roadrunner that is pretty much gone. Someone else had the car for an extended period of time, then it was brought to us to finish. They opened the rockers up, and found a rusty rocker panel support structure INSIDE the rocker assembly. I'm trying to figure out what this part is called and where I can find an aftermarket part to replace it. In the picture, the light blue arrow is pointing to it (the Yellow Arrow is pointing at the Outer Rocker, Pink at the rear inner rocker). Anyone know what this is called and where to get another pair? Thank you in advance, and wonderful forum!

I think this is the inner rocker panel. Does it look like this? You could check with AMD. Classic Industries has the inner and outer panels.

No, that's the front inner rocker panel, which is fine. There is a rear inner rocker panel that we have to replace, but the part in question is BETWEEN the rear inner rocker panel and the outer rocker/quarter lower front. Inside, just below the door B-pillar there is a triangular piece that is also inside the rocker box, but this panel is just roached and I can't figure out what exactly it's called...

You might be looking for the rear fender splash shield p/n MM1043. The rear inner rocker panel MB 1890 LH and MB 1891 RH. These part numbers are from the classic industries catalog.

Maybe this would show a bit more of what I'm looking at... it's not the splash shield, it's a C-chaped channel (similar to the outer rocker, but squared off and interior of the outer rocker)... The one on the car has been cut, so most of the upper rail and outer rail of it are missing. The outer rocker covers the outer rail of this piece, and the interior of it spot welds to the inner rocker rear panel.

Figured it out.. the shop that had the car before us cut the quarter open but left a scab at the bottom that we didn't realize was there (the lead line was so smooth we didn't notice it was still in it...). The outer rocker panel cups in behind the quarter panel, and we are just seeing the rotten remains of the rest of the outer rocker. Parts on order! Crisis Averted!
