I don't know how to paste pictures on my son's computer. We're currently in Bryce Canyon and on our way to Lake Powell. But you can cut and paste this link I believe to the browser to see several pictures.

Please click on link to open and click on pictures to enlarge. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Nice car.

You asked some questions in your other thread that can now be answered.

Your car does not have the A87 RR Decor Group. The back seat upholstery is how your seats should look. Front seat is incorrect - both the upholstery and the missing headrests.

If you want the correct door panels order the ones from Legendary for the Belvedere - RR post model. Same for seat covers.

Hope this helps.

Ray,

I'll find out for sure, but the guy I bought it from said the back seat was the wrong seat and the front correct. Do I have this backwards?

Thanks,
Barry

You have it backwards or he gave you incorrect info. Trust me, I have the most stripped down A12 post car on the planet and I know a stripper post car when I see one. No stainless trim on the posts and the Belvedere taxi-cab steering wheel tell the tale. The back seat upholstery is correct.

I talked with the last owner and he said the original owner did use the wrong seat cover and I don't know about the head rest.

So I need to take out the back window. Where can I find a new rear window for this car?

Thanks,
Barry

Some other clues to a non A87 car. Steering wheel does not have the RR decal or chrome horn ring, just a big pad in the center. There are no rear seat arm rests or chrome trim under the front arm rests.

Brief thread hi-jack: Carl, where have you been hiding? What's going on in your neck of the woods? I assume that you will be at the NGMC meet in Brazelton on Sept. 10? I think I will try to make it up there for that one. Did I mention that I met another one of your members? David Elder lives across the street from my buddy George out in Bogart. I'm sure you know him, he's mostly an A-Body guy, but he has some other stuff too. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

With a 26" core support - and non a/c - it should be an axle package car, 3:55 or 3:91. The ad says 323 open rear.... Just curious if someone changed the rear end?

Very cool project, good luck with it!

I think remembering the seller saying he believed the previous owner changed the rear. What is a 3:23 open? Is the 3:23 used more for easy highway driving? I want to get a peppy car that can be run strong but still be able to travel to shows.

Going back to Corvettes, I changed my gears from 3:55 to 3:70 by just changing the gears. Used with a 700R4 trans allows me to run hard/fast and drive long distance. Can I do the same, change the gears to 3:55, 3:70 or 3:91?

I still have too much to learn. I'm keeping all the info I'm receiving from all of you and I will be able to get a good jump on finishing this car.

Thanks,
Barry
