I got my horn all stripped and ready for new paint (epoxy primer and Testor's 1234) and a decal. I remember some time back someone was asking about the numbers stamped on them. Well now I can finally see them, although you would never know it with my crappy camera. Anyway it says, SPARTON MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL SA, then under the word SPARTON and upside down are the numbers 179.

17th day of 69 :cheers: Jim don't forget the path to ground goes threw those little screws that hold the horn to the bracket. I had a friend get a new one from year one that didn't work so I cleaned a little pain of and :beep:

Damn thing took about 3 weeks because it was too humid to paint. So with that in mind, I guess I'm going to have to shut the company doors until I receive some Obama stimulus money to build a temperature controlled plant. :lol:

Looks Great! :thumbsup: I looked @ my bolt, it is GOLD. (No Kiddin') Ask the guru( BOB) just to make sure. I have a reproduction on mine.It just doesn't have the right sound that is should. Made in China. (Fried Lice)(instead of fried rice) :lol: I'd like to restore an original like you did. :worship: Winter project.

My horn is stamped 12V! Any idea what that means?

Thanks for that, Bob. I have a new horn that doesn't work. I'll have to check into this...
