Initial/Total timing advance

So . :huh:
Think normally B-engine 35 total and 10-12 initial and RB-engine 38 total and 12-14 initial?!

Right . But if I have a 440 crank in 400 engine. Total/initial depending stroke?

Or is this just brainfart?

I always went with 36 total on all big mopars and played a few degrees up and down to see what the motor was happy at. Some will lock the distributor at full advance with an automatic and big cam. I'm sure you will get more favorite setups shortly.

because of the poor chamber design big block mopars usually make the most power with 40 degrees or more.
