I bought a set of 4 halogen light's made by GE for my car last fall at our local Canadian Tire store. They were $15 each. Look identical to the originals except they say Halogen in small print on the glass, hardly noticable. Nice and bright.

thanks but was looking for the newer version with the h 4 bulbs....those were sealed beams...right.....i still have the 1968 bulbs in my car except for one which caught a stone

Yes they were sealed beam with halogen bulb's inside. Sorry George. What are h4 bulb's ?

I would look at either a Hella or Cibie conversion. I used Cibie lights years ago and always liked them.

I've looked at Hellas before and they have some nice headlights. I have the same problem with my Cobra as with the Roadrunner. The current headlights work about as good as a candle compared to modern stuff. One thing you should be aware of is that a lot of that stuff is not DOT approved and will not have DOT on the headlight. I don't know if this is really a problem but I guess it could be an issue under some circumstances.
