Hey guys,
Car is coming along. Running with the slot mag / black sidewall look for
the car. Some members on here have it and I think it looks great.

Rims are all 15x8.5, 4.5 backspace. Plan on 275/60/15 on rear. Slightly
limited with manufacturers that make this size but whatever. Kind of
disappointed that Pirelli doesn't.

Considering 235/70/15 or 235/65/15 up front. Can't foresee a fit issue
there. Also, want a big sidewall in front along with rear.
I don't think 225/70/15 will be the best fit for the rims or the look I want.

Let me know what you think.

Slots and blackwalls will look awesome! But an 8.5" rim is going on the front? Probably a better idea to stick with a max of 7"... Handling, alignment, & clearance issues would likely result otherwise. Also, we all have opinions - me included - and an 8.5" rim on the front would just not look right. BF Goodrich, Goodyear, & Cooper all make the 275 60 15... There are probably others, those are just the ones that come to mind.

I think using a rim with that backspace and width you're going to run into clearance issues on full turns. Mine are 7" width, with 3.5" backspace but you can use a 4" backspace too. I'm running 255/60R15s on the front and it's a lot of meat. :cents:

I agree. when I had the other car, and put the Cragars on, the tires would rub the frame on full turn. slots will look great!

I have 6.5" steelies on mine with 225 70 15" on front and 235 70 15" out back. No clearance issues at all. Tires fit on rims easily.
