All the talk of hemi-powered RRs in that other thread reminded me that I had recently seen a pic of one of the few surviving hemi droptops over on the LOH Playground. Thought I'd post it here. A little eye candy for Dave, John, and our other F8-loving members.

Hey Dave, picture this car with Cragars instead of the recall wheels... :D I have a picture in my head of him falling out of his chair, eyes rolled back in his head, and some slight frothing at the mouth... :lmao:

Yeah - kind of like that AT&T commercial where the little creature passes out when he sees the new telephones... :lmao: :lmao:
That is a nice HEMI bird. The green exterior and tan gut go well together :yesnod:

Now THAT I saw coming a mile away...

I dunno...that combo often results in the rear armrests being installed incorrectly... :D

I would keep the wheels and change the interior. Never did think that green and brown belonged together. Nice car though.

I know I'm probably in the minority here but I have to admit ragtop muscle cars do absolutely nothing for me.Just don't look right, give me a Hardtop any time.

Don't know the history, Dave. It belongs to a friend of one of the guys on the LOH Playground - that's about all I know. They did mention that the B5 Hemi GTX ragtop with the white gut came out of a junk yard...just tells you how few of these there are when you can call them out by color combo and everyone knows which one you're talking about... :yesnod:

Color combos are like anything else; everyone has their preferences. You & John love it, Harold has said that he doesn't like it, and me the self-proclaimed Anit-F8 guy finds it to be the only combo that makes that color pop enough to be palatable. Go figure...

for me it depends on the car. I don't like the look of a vert with the top up. But when the top is down, they look great.
A few years ago, there was a story in the mags about the designer of the '68 Charger. He had started building a convertible. Now the '68-'70 Chargers have the sweetest roofline ever made. To make a droptop of that car would've been a crime.

There's a guy that does those conversions...Stuie has posted some pics & info IIRC...I thought that they looked pretty sporty...but I'm a huge fan of the original fastback styling as well... Kinda like girls...some days you want to look at the blondes...some days you want to look at the brunettes... :D

Yes it is, it was featured in Mopar Action IIRC.
