Now the only question I have why did the ones I got don't have any stainless steel trim on them. The donner door which I don't know what they came off of had the stainless steel trim on them. The door's that came off car did not have the window wiskers. So I guess you can't get the ones with the trim. If you guys know if the runner had this trim or not. Thanks Russ.

I found out after calling around that the pop out window car had black wiskers. The roll down window model had the trim. So I guess I am ok with what I got. I don't have to drill any holes they match up good. Thank you roadrunnerbob.

Never had a post car, but all of the hardtop and convertible cars that I have had through the years have all had the stainless trim along the edge.

My stainless trim I used some very strong glue to fasten it to the edge of the glass works great and doesn’t wiggle around

Thanks droptop for the info. I was advised that the car I have post came with just black wiskers. They are not that hard to change so will go with the black one seeing how I have already paid for them and opened the bag they came in. The pop out window is what made the difference. I was shocked to see no trim on these. The donor doors I had gotten with the car had the trim. The door's that came on the car had been striped of them so did not know. Talked to Mopart's Guy and this is what he told me. He has the ones with the trim.

Yea Brett good Idea. I pulled the ones off the donor door and they fell apart taking them off. It is such a small piece of stainless steel on the wiskers and they looked really bad so just to say I will go with the black for now. Thank you for the suggestion's. Russ.

Thanks for the info roadrunnerbob. Like I said they are easy enough to change now that I have the non stainless steel trim set. So will use the one's I got and if later on wanting the trim will change them.

My car is a non-A87 post car. Black cat whiskers. No stainless trim. Pulled the originals off myself and I still have them. I therefore purchased the black replacements. I am just speculating here, but perhaps it depends upon whether or not the post car also had the A87 Road Runner Décor package and if so perhaps then it also received the cat whiskers with the stainless trim.

Russ - my guess is your car was a non-A87 Décor package equipped car (based on all of your previous posts) and would have been equipped with the black cat whiskers. You can put whatever you want on it.

Bob was just goofing around. You cannot have the Décor package on a RM23 (Satellite Hardtop-based) Road Runner because it already comes with the upgraded trim. He was making a joke - and you have to understand the differences in the trim levels to get it.

No I got it I was doing the blond thing oh I mean the bald thing. Thanks. The problem as said before is someone took the fender tag off and I did not get it or any paper work on the car. Afraid a many parts where changed because not the original motor or rear end. But this can happen over 50 years. But do know it was a red car after pulling it apart. Cant hide the fact when pulling nuts and bolts and taking metal apart. Thought of getting the post stainless steel trim but opted out on that now. Their hard to find and if you do man what they want for them. Just want to finish it and take it for a drive. Thank you. Russ.
