Ok , change rear main seal again today, went with a rope seal instead of the rubber.got it in sealed up and run on jack stands for 1/2 hour not a drop leaked out  . was told by a local mopar guru that I should soak the rope in kero and kneed it to get it soft . also hooked up the oil pressure gauge I got a solid 50psi at idle.so happy sofar that I gave it another bath.going to a carshow tomorrow! :drive:
Thanks for the support during all this crap and letting me vent.

Hey Mr. general, I forgot to ask. What did you do about sealing the side grooves in the retainer?
Did you use just use silicone or, neoprene rubber strips or, the fiber seals you soak in kerosene first. I am about ready to tackle mine with a rope seal.......Jim

used rope seal soaked in kero then worked the kero into the seal, used the tool to pull it through. used the orange rubber side seals .used antibolic sealer a thin coat where the cap meets the block ,and some vaseoline(thin film on the seals) used 2 6" 3/8 bolts with heads cut off as guide pins to keep the cap square (as per Mancini racing tech support)bolted it down to specs and closed it up . so far no leak still have some oil coming out of spots I couldn't get all the oil out of. but, back of motor is dry.

Finally just got the rope seal pulled around the crank tonight. Numerous tries, I think the kerosene tip was the key and also rotating the crank and lubing it as it went around. Prepped the retainer with another rope and sealer, also used the orange neoprene noodles in the sides. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday (after the back heals) I'll slap the windage tray and pan back on and hope for the best. At the very least, it can't be much worse than it was. I hope.
