It is beyond my comprehension how a majority of 535 Members of Congress are stupid enough to pass such legislation.

The only way to stop such stupidity and return the USA to its greatness is for the voters of the United State of America to vote these people out of office, revive common sense, bury political correctness, and gag the fanatical environmentalists who have convinced congress and our anti America liberal media that legislation such as this is in our best interest.

This is insane!

This is regarding the new CFL light bulbs that must be in use by 2014 per Congress, your laugh for the day..........

I like this guy. I have stock piled incandescents because of this. Before long I can probably sell them for $20 a piece. Better than gold. Yeah break one, remove children, pets and pregnant women from the room, and open a window. That's real energy efficient in Minnesota on a February day. So what about Hospitals, schools, daycare, etc. can't use them. You have to "treat" CFLs right to make them last longer. Let them warm up for 15 minutes after they are on and cool down 15 minutes after they are turned off. Yeah that is the way we all use a bathroom light. I get charged 4 cents per watt per year. 60 watt bulb vs. 15 watt bulb saves 45 watts. A 25 cent bulb vs. a $5 bulb. Doing the math, one goofy CFL would have to last about 5 years for me to break even. Whoops better not say "break".

AZ Desert,
We have been stocking up on bulbs also. I can't believe they can make bulbs to fit everything and I'm not willing to change out fixtures because they didn't think this through the dumb asses.

There are some new construction homes that are starting to use the two prong fixtures to force people into using a certain CFL which are the only bulbs that fit. I would be changing out fixtures (or at least sockets) if I was in that situation...
