Ok guys, just about to get off the computer and get ready to head over to church for our show. A lot of you chimed in a few months ago with some suggestions. I'll snap some pics and try to post them later. We had some crappy weather blow through yesterday (we really needed the rain) but we are looking good right now. Here is an outline and I'll give an after action report later:
-Reg is $10 for pre, $12 for drive up
-Snap picture of all cars, put in frame, give to owner to say thanks at the end (somebody here mentioned that one)
-50/50
-Chinese Auction (I think we have a ton of baskets)
-We have a whole bunch of donations from stores and local restaruants. Not sure how we are allocating them though.
-Dog/Chips/Soda to all registered cars for lunch, on us
-Best in show (judged), stock (judged), modified (judged) people's choice (ballot is $1)
-Got a dj for music
-Registrants get use of church facilities if need arises, no stinky port-a-potty
*#1 priority is to make positive impression on car owners, all of the help knows that

Well....that sucked.
It rained from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. My phone was ringing like crazy from all sorts of people that intended to show
but weren't sure due to s$%* weather pattern. Disappointing, not to mention down right fatigued due to
running around, stress, and swearing at the sky for a few straight hours.

Thanks Fran and Mac.

We decided tentatively to reschedule for August 11. No major show conflicts that we can see in our region. It
was a good learning experience. We learned how to prepare, promote, and set up. We'll be that much more
prepared for August I think.

The one factor you can't control, Weather! That does suck. Our first Mopar show this year is tomorrow and last I heard there could be scattered showers around later in the day. We have our shows rain or shine, mainly because people plan for a certain day, and so we don't end up with conflicts down the road.
