Brake Fluid ?

Ok , Dot 3 or Dot 4? Will be bleeding the hole system and I have a Quart of dot 3 . Is it ok to start with this and if needed use dot4 ? Does it hurt to mix them ?? I just wanted to use the dot 3 up

I believe those 2 are compatable. the last bottle I bought of brake fluid said both on the label
