Have you recovered from that track crash, sorry to hear that, hope you're okay.
Try to keep the road runner and figure out a way of getting the Indian. There should be some good deals and financing coming soon with most manufactures so wait a little bit and DON'T SELL THE ROAD RUNNER
Yeah, I made a full recovery, despite what I was originally told by the specialist at the Crystal Clinic. I highsided coming out of turn 9 at Mid Ohio. I broke my right ankle into about 8 separate pieces. Of course, I then got ran over, breaking my left leg. So, I ended up breaking both legs all at once. Ouch. I had surgery that day for my right leg, and the left healed on its own. The crash was on Monday and I left the hospital on Thursday after having to walk on my broken left leg. That hurt! I was off work for almost 6 months to the day. Luckily I had enough sick and vacation time saved up for about 3 months of full pay. Not bad for only working there for 3 years at that time.
Back in 1996 I crashed my dirt bike while practicing. That resulted in a compound fracture of my right femur, a nice helo ride to Metro, and an 8 hr surgery to install a bunch of rods and stuff. You'd think I'd stay off bikes....
I appreciate the encouragement in regards to keeping the car. In the end, Im sure I will, but every now and again I think about it. I hardly think I would get a fair price for it though. I would never expect to get what I've put in, but I just dont see a lot of money out of it. I could certainly pay cash for a Scout, pay off a bit of debt, and get my butt back up in the air. Im feeling that calling again, very strongly. I started flying lessons years ago but never finished anything. Before I get much older, I need to get up in the air and actually accomplish something. My father was in his 40's when he started, and Im not very far behind him now.
As much as I love my car, I have no real "connection" with it, other than it being a fun, expensive hobby. Flying and Indian motorcycles however go way back the family line.
