Just wanted to let you know think I have broken the Ice for the runner to win trophies. At least 14 inches in height. Did not expect to win one. Local downtown car show. Had the car their before but did not win anything. You know it is all about looking at what other people have done and what they are driving for show cars. Like to talk to them and here their stories and look at before pic's and see the after in person. So here is a pic. of my little trophy case. LOL. IMG_0103 - Copy (3).JPG

Congratulations Russ! Doesn’t it feel good to hear your name called for trophy? I also go to see other cars and meet people. On 4 Jan there was a 3d Annual Power Cruise with about 400 cars that met in a strip mall parking lot in Fort Walton Beach FL. Ate lunch listening to music and had a big donation for a little girl who got paralyzed in a car accident. Go to Emerald Coast Classic Facebook to see pics and videos. Come join us next year around the same time next year. No trophies just fun cruising to different stops along the cruise. Also website called Emerald Coast Car Culture and events. Jason Schaefer has Facebook site. He’s the guy who puts these event together. I’m the only runner there but I did see a modified 68 or 69 Super Bee.

Ps. I didn’t drive the cruise because runner kept stalling. Mechanic took a look and adjusted the choke, carburetor was out of time and some belts were a little loose. It’s running better now but I wish I had the knowledge and capability to fix it myself. Friends were say fuel filter fuel hose fuel pump or sending unit in tank. So many things sometimes makes my head spin.

As you said for most of us car shows are hanging out with like minded people, looking at others builds and talking with them, getting a trophy is just icing on the cake as it`s nice that others like your car and appreciate it. :thumbsup2:

Winning a trophy is nice! It’s the what do I do with it after and where do I stash it that for me becomes the problem.
You can always give it to someone who you think deserves one. It will brighten his or her day.

will have to build me a separate trophy case with this area getting full. Also have the rite hood call outs on the car. Will post pictures of it with them. It is a 69 runner but early production. To bad I don't have the original fender tag for the car. It would be interesting to know the exact date it came off line and what plant it came from. Know it was an original Alabama car. From title source. Thanks and keep those bird's rolling brothers. IMG_0104 (5).JPGIMG_0108.JPGIMG_0104.JPGIMG_0105 (5).JPG IMG_0103 (6).JPG

Thanks so much for the info 69hemibeep. Just make the record complete. It is better to know what to say about my car than not to know. LOL.

Thanks Rose. Even all the years I have worked on car-bikes-trucks and other combustible engines we sometimes chase a problem that it becomes something so simple we miss it. LOL. After having a 906 head developed a crack between5 and 7 exhaust ports and leaking fluid out. Replaced the heads with 440 source heads aluminum. Also put a new brawler Holley carb on. Now trying to dial the 383 back in to running and preforming like it did before the head problem. So now changing the jetting on the new carburetor to the same as I had in the Quad jet Holley. Think this will bring it back to the running it was before. Good luck and wish I could get up with you and your friends someday. :thumbsup2:
